This is Velves, a character from a novel Ronja has written, “Der Ruf des Wolkenschrummlers”. It hasn’t been published yet, but I hope that one day it will, together with “Das Maulhorn” …
Velves is not the main character, he’s even the bad guy, but he has a stylish outfit, so that’s why I drew him. Anyway, vilains are always cool.

A day in Milano

Returning from Sardinia, I spent one day in Milano. I actually wanted to buy some new shoes or stylish clothes (because, you know, it’s Milano the shopping-paradise ), but it was too hot to walk so I sat down, had some good coffee and made a few drawings.

When I tidied up my computer, I found this photos, which I made with an old camera and a 120 rollfilm. They look really old …

I remember that when I saw the result then, I was a bit annoyed that I exposed the picture twice, but know I think it’s a quite interesting result.

Masterplan?

Yes, but not today. My plan was to apply for the Master in Basel. I had a appointement at the FHNW. Tickets ready, portfolio ready, only hand luggage. Quick and easy? Well instead of flying to Basel I was stuck at the airport Schönefeld in Berlin. Not because of the volcano – no, they had better plans today: They striked. So I had to go home. You see, it’s not that easy to apply for Master Studies.
