Graveyard Drawings
I made this drawings on October 31st, but I wasn’t aware of the date. I really went to the graveyard by incident. So don’t think that I wanted to post some halloween-special! ^^
Actually I ride pass this place everyday on my way to work, but I never went in. Finally, last saturday, I had enough time and the weather was quite nice, so I decided to go there for some sketching (heavily inspired by Neil Gaiman’s “Graveyard Book” and Dave McKean’s great illustrations). I loved the peace inside the graveyard, it’s in the middle of Berlin but the traffic noise seems already so far away. The german word for graveyard is “Friedhof”, which means litteraly translated “Peace-yard”. An adequate term …
